How to play Snake
Guide the snake one square at a time and collect fruit. Each fruit adds a segment to the tail and increases your score. The game ends when the head touches a wall or the snake's own body.
Think about the space behind you
The safest route is not always the shortest route to the fruit. As the snake grows, preserve wide loops and avoid dividing the open board into small pockets you cannot escape.
Controls that travel with you
Keyboard arrows work on desktop. On smaller screens a direction pad appears below the board. Your best score stays in this browser only.
